Join us at the Urbanna Branch on Saturday, May 17th at 10:30 AM for “DNA 101: An Introduction to Genetic Genealogy”, hosted by Bessida Cauthorne White.
This presentation for beginners will include an explanation of basic genetic genealogy
terms, types of DNA testing, the DNA tests currently on the market, the type of information they provide, who should be tested, the limitations of DNA testing, and more.
White will share these basics as well as her personal experiences with DNA testing for
herself and her family. She has been a genealogist for more than forty years and manages DNA test results for forty of her family members and friends. She is a founder of two genealogy societies and frequently lectures on various aspects of family and community history.
