The Middlesex County Public Library is pleased to announce the launch of a year-long series of programs about gardening, hosted by Virginia Cooperative Extension. The first program will be at the Urbanna Library, Tuesday, March 18th at 5 PM. The subject will be “Lets Start a Home Garden – What, Where and When to Plant for Success.” Refreshments and Q&A to follow.
Tuesday’s presentation will explore topics surrounding gardening with focus on successful planning in the early stages, including: designing a garden that works best for you, when to plant, and companion planting. The talk will also cover how to take and incorporate soil samples, and how to find the right fertilizer and apply it correctly.
